May Wiggins
Conservation Nursery Coordinator
MES Program, The Evergreen State College
May got their start in ecology and conservation with a conservation field school position out of high school in Phoenix, Arizona. They would then work with a local Audubon chapter as an environmental educator and field assistant. This foundation led them to pursue a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University. After completing their degree, they continued outreach and education through a variety of programs aimed at bringing environmental science, transportation equity, and leadership skills to youth.
They are currently pursuing a master’s degree through the Master of Environmental Science (MES) program at Evergreen. Their diverse background and passion for social and environmental equity supports their work at the Sustainability in Prisons Project, where they deliver environmental education to currently incarcerated individuals.
