Jill Cooper completed her Masters of Environmental Studies degree at the Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington. She has a strong background in wildlife tracking, mammal surveys, natural history, ecology and biology. Jill’s primary work with the Sustainability in Prisons Project was the captive rearing of endangered Oregon Spotted Frogs at Cedar Creek Correctional Facility. She also launched a research project exploring how to grow mosses for green roof technology. Jill believes in creating positive change in the world, and has an extensive history of volunteering. She has volunteered with organizations such as The Cascade Wildlife Monitoring Project, Mountains to Sound Greenway, Americorps, Wildlife in Crisis, the Buffalo Field Campaign, the Community Service Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Wilderness Awareness School. Her hobbies include Permaculture, American Sign Language, Basketry, Ethnobotony, Crocheting, Backpacking, and art of all kinds.
