Emily Passarelli

SPP Program and Outreach Manager
The Evergreen State College

Emily Passarelli is the Program and Outreach Manager for The Sustainability in Prisons Project (SPP). She first joined SPP in 2015 as the Green Track Program Coordinator while a graduate student in the Master of Environmental Studies (MES) program at The Evergreen State College. Here, Emily studied and wrote her graduate thesis on the lasting effects that environmental education can have on individuals, particularly formerly incarcerated individuals. After graduating with this understanding of the impact of education, Emily went on to become the Program Manager of Education at the Washington Corrections Center (WCC). After 3 years of program management at WCC, Emily has now returned to SPP to take on the role of Program and Outreach Manager. She is excited to be back at SPP working closely with partners to develop meaningful, educational and vocational programming in prison.
