Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC)

Clallam Bay hosts a variety of SPP programs and is continuing to grow. They offer Beekeeping, Foundations in Gardening, and may include Foundations in Composting in the near future. CBCC staff also lead programs including a cat program, a farmer’s market, and wastewater treatment programs.

December 2025 highlights

2 thriving hives that received a covered patio in 2025, 9 certified Beginner graduates, and continuing produce of lip balm. No honey collection currently due to young hives.

December 2025 highlights

In 2025, CBCC had 10 students enroll and studies the course textbook and applied course material in tending to the gardens and flower beds around the facility.

The program currently has 22 cat handlers and cares for 18 cats total as of 2025.

Continued upkeep of perennials, ornamental gardens in courtyard, access breezeway, MSC light yards; “worm tea” is only fertilizer.

Food Drive

The CBEA held a Food Drive in October- November 2025 that collected approx. 200 lbs. of dry and canned goods that were donated to New Hope Food Bank.

250-gallon water catchment inside the greenhouse that is used for irrigation.
