Anneke Wilder

Environmental Education Development and Outreach Coordinator

MES Program, The Evergreen State College

Anneke was raised in rural South Carolina at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, where a deep connection to and respect for the environment was instilled in her at an early age. She received degrees in Biology and Studio Art from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC and landed in western Washington after completing a certificate in Natural Science Illustration at the University of Washington.

Throughout her varied career, Anneke has been committed to fostering relationships between the environment, humans, and non-human species through education, art, and science.

Anneke is currently pursuing a master’s in environmental studies at Evergreen with interests in ethnobotany and restoration ecology. She is excited to bring her passion for education and environmental justice to the SPP team and to continue learning from and being inspired by the land and those who inhabit it.
