Jeff Muse, M.S.
Former Project Manager
The Evergreen State College
Bees build their hives with glue-like propolis. The SPP had Jeff to hold it together from 2008-2010. Equal parts coach, wordsmith and entrepreneur, he loves the thrill of teamwork and, in the words of Dr. Nadkarni, “breathing life into ideas and turning vision into reality.” From the Evergreen campus, Jeff coordinated our activities with correctional staff and incarcerated individuals as well as faculty, graduate students, visiting scientists and community partners. With two decades in conservation non-profits and government agencies across the country, Jeff came to us from northwest Washington, where he launched and directed a $12 million, LEED-certified environmental learning center in North Cascades National Park. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from DePauw University in Indiana, his birthplace, and a master’s in ecology and education from the Audubon Expedition Institute at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is now pursuing an MFA in creative non-fiction at Ashland University.
