Fiona Edwards

Fiona is a graduate student in the Master of Environmental Studies program at Evergreen. She grew up in Los Angeles, CA, where she enjoyed escaping the smog by visiting the beach with her family. Fiona studied philosophy at Bard College in upstate New York, and at the same time worked with the Bard Prison Initiative. Her experience n prisons pointed to the importance of education on an individual’s development. She graduated from Bard College in 2011 with her BA.

Fiona joined the Sustainability in Prisons Project in the beginning of 2013 as a website and multimedia assistant. In the fall of 2013, she became a Graduate Research Assistant and the Turtle and Frog Program Coordinator.
