Alexandra James

Alexandra James joins the SPP team with experience in environmental education and outdoor leadership. Her formal education awarded her with a Bachelor of Arts in Ecology & Organismal Biology accredited from the University of Montana. After graduating, Alex joined Ecology Project International, an international non-profit whose mission is to improve and inspire science education and conservation efforts worldwide through field-based student-scientist partnerships. Alex also volunteered with the Montana Natural History Center to deliver natural history curriculum to elementary-aged students where hands-on science became the keystone element of connecting students to their local environment. She hopes to enhance her understanding of environmental education by engaging, empowering, and learning from our incarceration community.

Aside from her interests in school and work, Alex also likes to spend her time exploring, farming, reading, and creating artistry cakes.
